The congress of the PSOE's youth wing was attended by representatives of all the island's socialist branches, the CCOO union and the Mararía association, as well as regional and national Young Socialist leaders.
The new leadership will focus on access to housing, equality and public education and healthcare, which it sees as key for young people in Lanzarote and La Graciosa to be able to leave home. Roger also wants to bring in more young members.
It comes a month before the 29 November general election, with housing already one of the big campaign issues on the island.
