The race started yesterday at 8am from Los Pocillos. In the Olympic distance (1.5 km swim, 40 km bike and 10 km run), Fernando Marian of CN Las Palmas won in 2:12:49, and Maike Döhling took the women's race in 2:42:21, just 39 seconds ahead of Marta Campmany.
The supersprint was won by Enea Cucchetti and Nora Morales, and the relay by team Trilaguna-Reactive.
Before the start there was a minute's silence for José Manuel Fornis Castro, a triathlete who died this week. His son raced the supersprint in his memory.
